Summary:
As they leave the next morning, Chandra asks Koly to make sure Hari has a marigold garland from her should he die in Varanasi. Koly promises. Hari has a hard time on the trip, beginning before they even reach the train. The dust is overwhelming and the heat is suffocating. Hari sleeps most of the time, his head rocking on his shoulders as though it is not even attached. Before the train leaves, Koly sees many urns being place in the baggage car. Koly sees this as a prediction of this ill-fated trip.
When they arrive in Varanasi, they are met by friends of the Mehtas. Koly is not introduced to the couple as Hari's wife and she guesses this is because the Mehtas are embarrassed that they had to marry their son.

I have finished my book already, that is The Pearl. I learned how to think about money between relatinship with people, I like this book, I learned many kinds of personality of people in this world. There are not everyone has good thinking, and money is not the most important thing.

He was 71. He had worked during 1957 to 2002.Mr. Saint Laurent achieved instant fame in 1958 at the age of 21 when he showed his Trapeze collection, his first for Christian Dior after the master's death. in 1968, his suggestion that women wear pants as an everyday uniform was considered revolutionary — he developed into a more conservative designer. He tought women want wear pants. He retired in 2002 at age 65. Moreover, his ready-to-wear label, Rive Gauche, which was sold to Gucci in 1999.

My opinoin:

My major is design, and I had studyed clothes design before; moreover, I am vrey like Diro, I have lots of things that from Diro. That's why I chooes this article. I felt he is a very great designer, in the future I am going to study design more and more. Therefore, I learned a lot of things from him, this is a very great article for me.

Political upheaval in Nepal slows adoptions for families from Puget Sound area

A lot of American adoption from Nepal now. They joining a number of families who had been waiting for the children they had been matched with to be released by the Nepalese government. But Nepalese government faced frustration as upheaval in the country's government literally closed the door on adoptions. Many parents like Tanner make a second trip to Nepal and pick up the children they had come to love. Tanner's son, Ashok, was left at a police station as an infant. Little else is known about his life before he came to Nepal Children's Home. King, a social worker, speaks about the radical change in her life since she brought Ajaya home in February after waiting a year. Sometimes King and Tanner get their sons together to play. Both boys seem to love the outdoors and running through the grass, babbling toddler words in Hindi that their mothers don't understand but know will be part of the fading landscape of their children's past.

I think children need in a good family to grow up. They are young and need parents to take care them. Tanner is a good mother, she help children into her house and take care them. She want to give some adoption children good life and a good family. I like children also, I don't want to hear some children don't have home and parents. They need parents, they will have a good lif and futrue.

Book club report#4

Title of book The Pearl
Pages in he book 90, I am now on page67, I read 10pages this week.
I understand about 80% of what I read.

1. I dont like buyer in my book.

2. The pearl buyers of the town acted as if they worked for themselves, but they were actually all controlled by one man. The pretense of competition among the pearl buyers made it easier to cheat the Indians out of their pearls. By putting on a show of competing over the best price, the man in charge and the buyers were adept at ripping off the natives. When they told Kino that his great pearl was worth only a thousand pesos, he got angry and left to take the pearl to the capital. That night, Kino's family was attacked in their home, and he believed that the buyers were responsible for it.

The Sims is the best-selling computer game in the U.S. Sims is a successful game. Nancy Smith is president of The Sims. Smith grew up as Nancy Green from Seal Beach, Calif. She said about her story before she became president of The Sims. After graduating from Huntington Beach High School, she earned a business degree at the University of San Francisco. Smith later joined the California technology boom in order to stay in her home state. She worked for VisiCorp when it launched the first spreadsheet program, VisiCalc, for the Apple II. Smith jumped at the chance to work for the start up EA. She credit The Sims since 2005. She became a successful woman. The Sims 60% players are female, The Sims game probably for female. Finally, Smith said she loves entertainment.

I choose this article because I have played this game since I was in the middle school. I like this game, I believe this game was interested by female, because this game is a very straightforward theme that everyone can relate to. It's like your own life. I had played this game for many different chapter, each chapter there is a especial topic, such as holiday, ice and western. It is a very interesting game.

The most significant thing that impressed me in my book this week: The buyers work together to cheat Kino of his pearl and intend to give him very little money for it. They have planned to convince him that his pearl is worthless and pretend that they're doing him a favor by taking it off his hands.

I choose this because the buyers are aware of the pearl's tremendous value, and intend to con the uneducated native; I think Kino will trust them because they are the experts even he knews they are not good, but he cannot choose other way.

1.Kino and his family came back their hometown after they got a big pearl.
2.I feel interested about Kino, because after he got a pearl, he is confusing about his neighbors will steal his pearl, and he really want to save his baby. Eventhough he feels afraid, he still want to sale the pearl to fix his baby. I think he has strong thinking, so I like to know what he will do later.
3.I think Kino and his wife are going to sale their pearl in the city. Maybe they will get some problems because everyone already knew they have a big pearl and maybe someone already planing to get their pearl.

Kino, a young pearl diver in La Paz, enjoys his simple life until the day his son, Coyotito, is stung by a scorpion. My name is Reesie! I come from China. I have been in Seattle 1 year already. But why am I just in level 4? because I am a super lazy girl. When I just came here. I have lived with 3 housefamilys, but they are not good for me. Later I moved to live with my friend who my highs chool classmate. Before we lived in far from the school; we had 2 roommates, both so suck for me. Therefore, I moved out from there to near our school with my friend. I like this house so much because nobody to disturb me anymore. And I got my new friend coka who my cat. He is a smart, cute and fat cat. I love him! Usually, I dont like to talk too much specially stranger or new friends. Eventhough, my talking made my friends felt tire sometimes, because I am not a shy girl; maybe I am just lazy. My habit is lazy ,but when I am doing something I really want to be quick, because I want to finish early then I can get time to be lazy! Therefore, this is me.In the futrue, I will choose design be my major. I will use my English until I finish my university, because I want to study design in here. After finish study I planning to have a job about design, so I can use English during I work. Anyway I think English is very improtant for everyone.
